Hello movers and shakers,
I guess it's time for a little blog, nothing special.
Last week we went to Florida to visit friends and shoot their wedding. They originally wanted to book us as an actual vendor but I wasn't having any of that, I said, "pay for our travel and room and you get it for free." But because they're so awesome and so nice they also took us to The Magic Kingdom. So basically, I had the cheapest but most awesome vacation anyone could ever have in Orlando. I think we only spent $300 total, and that included a $150 pizza bill when Ryan decided he wanted to pay for the whole tab, including a lady-friend's multiple bloody marys.
I had a great time and I'll post pics sometime soon of me in my rain poncho and me with the Disney princesses. The day we went to the Magic Kingdom it raaaained all day, so we bought rain ponchos and hit the rides and the longest we had to wait in line was 20 minutes, the shortest was 3 minutes. Awesome!
While in Florida, specifically at my friend's wedding, no one was dancing and the DJ was pretty good and since my friend and I are seasoned wedding photographers, we know how much it sucks for a DJ when no one is dancing. And since we were actual guests we took the opportunity to dance our asses off. I'm sure we looked a little ridiculous, you know being the only 2 on the dance floor but it was one of the greatest moments in my life, the most freeing I guess. Who cares what people think? I'm gonna dance. I actually got a lot of comments from some of the adults at the wedding the next day on how much they enjoyed watching me, they used the term "free spirit" again (I need to write a post just on that term sometime) and said they couldn't wait for me to come back so we could hang out and kayak.
So this dancing thing has carried over to my home life now. I'm finally getting used to the schedule that Ryan and I have and I found that dancing is great exercise and a great release after work. So lately I've been making videos for you to enjoy, or I've hopped on SG chat and done some dancing So look out for that
Work is going really well, all my managers and co-workers are great to work with and I revealed to one of my managers that I love stocking candy so he's been giving me a lot of candy projects. I'm finding out that if they know you like to do a specific thing they'll have you do it more often, or save those projects for you because they know you'll work hard at it, not complain, and do it rather quickly. Yesterday they wanted me to get out as much Easter Candy as possible because we needed to free up some space in the back. Battling chocolate bunnies, jelly beans, and filled chocolate eggs for most of the shift was a lot of work but I enjoyed it and when I was finished I realized that I made a pretty big hole in the bay area. This seems so mediocre to some of you I think, but I've worked for 2 years in a job where I wasn't seeing instant results so this is amazing for me. Also, I got to make a display out of webkinz dolls and beanie babies, fuck yes.
So for now I'm in a really happy place. Now I just need the weather to warm up and some free time to explore my new town a bit more.
I hope all is well and that you are enjoying my videos. Any requests?
