I completely understand the lack of money due to drugs issue. I'm broke ... but hells ... I got pot to make me not think of being broke.

here is the problem with not drinking tonight, if you go out and sit there with everyone getting bombed you are going to be happy but after a while you will start to be bothered by them. the smell will get to you yada yada yada. Now for the dangerous part, you successfully make it all night, you are so proud of yourself that next weekend you go out and celebrate (by drinking) and since you haven't drank in a few days you are going to get drunk twice as fast. probably so drunk that you will have too much fun, if you know what i mean. sorry for being wordy but not a point i could make in two sentances.

lucky you, i have drive everywhere i want to go, i miss living in the city. jersey sucks everything is a drive. the closest bar is 10 minutes by car but you would have to want to be raped by inbreds to go there. banjos run rampant there!

i think you've made a good move in not using drugs. the last time i smoked was over a year ago. not using definitely saves money. plus, like you've found apparently, you've got more time to do other things, like write. i never made the vow to quit entirely--if the right occasion arose, i'd probably get high, but i'm abstaining from regular use. it was good decision too.

that's good. maybe you'll find more people who'll share your interests, such as some local writer-types. maybe get some collaboration goin' on... i noticed the same sorta thing, though it was more like my "friends" that i'd hang with were into getting stoned all the time. sure, getting stoned is *fun*, but there really is more to life than that.

Hmmm..... I go through phases where I don't do any drugs.... well that's not entirely true I have never stopped drinking beer I have just cut back occasionally and everyone acts shocked when I do so.... Anyways right now it has been a month in a half since I have smoked pot and that's ok because currently I feel too lazy to try and find the hook up here... being a new town and all... although I have a pretty good idea of who that would be already.....
