Oh geez Belle, hope you're feeling better now. Congrats pretty lady!!!
You went live and I must say, you are a real beautiful SG!
Take care of yourself ok.
Sorry to hear about your diagnosis. My sister's boyfriend has Crohn's disease too. He just started on Remicade so we'll see how that goes. I hope the pills will keep things under control for you.
Your debut set is amazing by the way, and I look forward to many more to come.
i have a fanily member with crohns. she is doing alright. she has her good days and her bad, but the meds that she is on keep things under control for the most part. you just need to CONTROL THE DIET. that is the biggest part of the whole deal. you will be fine. just take care of your self darlin. we are here if you need us.
Yeah, I know some poeple who have it and experience symptoms in very differing ways. If you can reliably control the symptoms by following your MDs recomendations then certainly just do that and don't try to push the envelope. I know people have posted "Bummer, no dairy" but no dairy beats agonizing pain and lasting discomfort. Some of the people I know have better luck than others managing it and not everyone will be able to. Lets hope you can. The quarterback of the Jacksonville Jaguars was diagnosed with it recently and has jad some interesting things to say about it. Best of luck to you.
I have a close friend of many years who has a very severe case of Crohns that resisted treatment for a long time. My extremely dedicated and well-read doctor told me that his standard treatment for Crohns is restricting carbohydrates, at the time it was with Barry Sears' Zone diet. He said that all of his patients' symptoms nearly disappeared on it. My very desperate friend tried it and had the same dramatic results. He is now something of a nutrition expert, being rather a smart fellow, and has found that the Atkins or indeed any low-carb approach works similarly well. If he eats a bunch of bread and dessert all the misery comes back in a very few days, but otherwise he has been essentially asymptomatic for many years.
I would listen to the doctors first and if you are not helped, then you can give this a shot if you care to. I think we can look forward to a cure in the not too distant future with so many new discoveries being made nowadays so don't let it get you down too much. In my experience, few people are completely free of physical problems so you probably have a lot more company than you realize.
BTW, I look forward to seeing that great set idea!
that sucks love. about the chrons disease. on a good note- you can become vegan if you're interested in doing so. which is really healthy and wonderful (im vegan)
I have a friend that went through it. Unfortunately for her, the first doc she was seeing was an idiot. She went septic and it nearly killed her because he was a moron. Thankfully she pulled through, and there was a definate reward for her troubles. When she changed doctors she made a full recovery. She now lives a regular happy life again, and has a nice big malpractice paycheck coming to her.
In all, as long as you don't go to a quack doctor, and you follow the instructions they give you, things will more than likely turn out ok. Good luck.
My broter's best friend also has crohns. He takes his pills and he is ok, if he forgets he gets violently sick. For the most part he does very well, it seems as though about once a year he has to spend some time in the hospital. Best of luck to you.
your set is stunning! congrats on going live
