Glad you like the profile pic. It was taken on Nootka Island (well, technically, a little island just off shore, but it's Nootka in the background of the picture), which is off the west coast of Vancouver Island, BC. Nice place, very isolated. I was there for a month recently, house-sitting for a friend.

You mention being a biology person... what sort of stuff do you do? I'm presently studying salmonid evolution (details available if you're interested).
