can i go to sleep and wake up on the 26th?

I am trying to keep a happy outlook on life, and i have been doing a decent job of it, but the holidays are really fucking with me, Everytime I turn around BAM theres christmas. I have wonderful friends, a mom and dad who try, but god damnit, last year i had a family.

A fucking family. dysfunctional family yes, but family, you know christmas tree, stocking, presents, dinner, fighting, the whole shebang.

this year i have me and the dog. i feel very alone. and its not that i dont have somewhere to spend the holidays, its just the fact that its not where i want to be. and i dont mean that i want my ex back, cuz well, i really dont, but there are some aspects of that life that i really miss.

so i will drive to west bloomfield sometime next weekend to get lunch with my mom for hanukah. My dad is going to disneyland with the new family, so i guess i will see him at some point in january. I will spend christmas day with my best friend, who has more reason to be bummed on christmas than me, and we WILL have a good time.

ok im done whining now, cause well im starting to irritate myself.
