So I was supposed to have a date today with a girl I met off Friendster.

We've gone out twice, fun, but a little awkward. Hey, I'm shy what do you want?

Anyway, this morning I get a message from her on Friendster that last night a friend of hers called and had gotten in a fight with their mom so she's crashing with her and so she had to cancel the date.

Now, perhaps it's just the pessimist in me, but I have a feeling I'm being stood up.

I mean, otherwise why wouldn't she call anyway and tell me that she had to cancel? Why a Friendster message? Seems awful shady to me.

Mind you, if that is the case, I'm not going to be too upset over it. I mean, why waste feelings over a girl who can't at least tell me to my face she doesn't want to go out with me. I've no time for immaturity.
