I was one of those 35K people that signed the Astoria petition, but I'm sure you already knew that. What you told me is definitely news because I haven't kept up w/ reports. I can't believe they're going to tear it down: It's a real shame man. I've only seen 2 bands perform there (Siouxsie & The Banshees and...well I'm sure you know the other band!...), but I still remember how many people it could accommodate on top of it's real intimate feel. You really have to see a show there to really feel what's about to be lost, and lost is how I feel regarding this news. It's really unbelievable bro...
