Whew. That's tough being told you can't eat most of the stuff that's on your chosen diet. I hope it works out for you one of my friends was a vegan, i didn't see her for like 2 years then she came back all changed and stuff. Was kinda bummed cause I looked up to her for being a vegan and a straight edger. Not saying people can't change or make their own personal decisions, just saying I respect people that don't take the easy road - ie. vegetarians, vegans, etc.

Before going nuts removing 85% (or more) of commonly available foods from your diet, have you considered getting a second opinion?

Here's a recent (feb 2009) New York Times article on the rise of multiple false food-allergy positives from blood testing, why it happens, and what testing methods are more accurate. It's an interesting read one way or the other.

an excerpt:

While the blood tests can help doctors identify potentially risky foods, they aren't always reliable. A 2007 issue of The Annals of Asthma, Allergy & Immunology reported on research at Johns Hopkins Children's Center, finding that blood allergy tests could both under- and overestimate the body's immune response. A 2003 report in Pediatrics said a positive result on a blood allergy test correlated with a real-world food allergy in fewer than half the cases.

Alright. I shall take a picture right after I grow it back out. Should only take me a few weeks.
