Dresden Files series by Jim Butcher
orangey:
Anything by Neal Stephenson. Snow Crash, Cryptonomicon.
wizard0:
Mostly fantasy books, but finishing up the Amber books by Zelazney and Betancourt.
electriceye22:
I could go on forever about this.  Here's a short list.  Starship Troopers  and The Moon is a Harsh Mistres both by Robert Heinlein. The Power of the Dog, the Cartel, Savages, and Kings of Cool all by Don Winslow.  A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess.  Red Dragon and Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris. The Joe Pitt series and the Mystic Arts of Erasing All Signs of Death by Charlie Huston.
trevor:
The books that I have re-read dozens of times because I enjoy them so much are The Stranger by Albert Camus and The Diamond Age by Neal Stephenson. I've got worn out hard copies of both, and digital versions to read on my tablet. Another good one that was never actually published but made available online is The Metamorphosis of Prime Intellect by Roger Williams.
rogha:
Emergence by David R. Palmer.  I've got a loaner copy that's been read by 13 others, I'm pretty sure 9 of which ended up buying their own copy, if that tells you how good it is?  I also have to agree with  @electriceye22  about the Heinlein and Harris novels, and @fearthestars on the best series ever, The Dresden Files.  If you dig Zombie novels, Dead of Night by Jonathan Maberry.
skyylar:
Sometimes I mix it up and read nonfiction. I really liked "The Six Wives of Henry VIII"
legendkiller0815:
The Dark Tower Saga from Stephen King. Read it 4 times...and always awesome :) And atm i read some books from Markus Heitz <3
noend:
The Passion by Jeanette Winterson
eichlan:
One of my favorite pulp-sci-fi series is The Lensmen books by E.E. Doc Smith, they're fun and silly and full of adventure. Lately I've been reading just about everything by Alexandre Dumas, just working through the Count of Monte Cristo now. His heroes and villains are so over the top and wonderful.
clutchhicks:
Anything by Christopher Moore or Tom Robbins
lilymai:
I love Tom Holland's books :) xx
aepaul:
The happiest I have ever been reading a book was reading "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe."  I was in high school though and read it in one sitting as I couldn't put it down.  The current series I'm reading are the Dresden Files.  They're about a wizard in Chicago, modern day.  The author's hit the NY Times best sellers list.  He's quite good.
pascipio:
Masters of Rome, by Colleen McCullough.  Real historical fiction.  I will challenge anyone to read the first book, The First Man in Rome, and not read the rest.  You are beautiful!
m_avan:
One of the greatest stories ever told: The Count of Monte Cristo.
gothicnomad:
Codex Alera series by Jim Butcher
amanojaku:
Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov, The Dice Man by Luke Rhinehart, The Outsider aka The Stranger by Albert Camus
wanker4feet:
The Woman in White - Wilkie Collins. Victorian (contemporary of Dickens) but chillingly good.
timmeh666:
The Repairman Jack series by F. Paul Wilson is pretty good.

The Exorcist is an amazing book but The Complete Fiction of H.P Lovecraft is the best book I've ever read. If you would like to try something different, have a look at my work, I'm always writing, my novel on demonic possession will be released later this year www.riksmadness.com
