Ok, so the pound is dropping against the dollar at an alarming rate, but still looking forward to my holidays next week. We land in New York in time to enjoy - and god knows I'm keeping my fingers crossed - the good people of America delivering their final verdict on the Bush years.
Do I think Obama will do great things? I'm still not convinced; the mechanics of government make it incredibly hard, and having gone through a similar thing with Blair in '97 and the hope that slowly evaporated I know how the best intentions can fall by the wayside, but...

Look at the Australian dollar!! (and stop complaining!!) it reallu sucks..nomore online purchases for me! Luckyily I went a bit crazy with buying 6 months ago.
I don't expect miracles from the election..no matter who wins (yah one side def better than the other *shivers* scary thought) yeah you can always have hope
