izumidai is a kind of fish with moist, but dense and meaty flesh. it's not as light and flaky as cod or whitefish. the japanese market here has it, i had never heard of it so i tried it and it was yummy. i asked a japanese friend if there was an english name for this kind of fish (a question that has been asked for many kinds of fish, but rarely answered with a 'yes'), and he thinks it might be 'tai fish' or 'tilapia' but he's not sure.

i so wish that my car had little rockets attached to it that i could launch at cars that piss me off by almost killng me or doing something really moronic. in that case, there would be no more minivans since those are the cars that typically do stupid shit when i'm on the road.
