BABIES WITHOUT DADDIES:
so my first niece is supposed to be born in the next 24 hours sometimes at Kaiser in Woodland Hills. The state of California has this law that you need to get a whooping cough innoculation before you can see the infant so i have to get one tomorrow. I don't know what would inspire a 21 year old girl to get pregnant on purpose when her boyfriend had no job or money or car or initiative. I guess she thought the 9 months of attention would be worth the struggle of when she becomes - and she will when she wises up- a single mother. Hell, i feel those feelings too. i have a bio clock, i wanna baby too dammit. but how can i bring a child into the world when i'm not married? how selfish is that? i understand accidents happen, of course, but when it's done on purpose, what excuses that?
now i understand fathers can run off, or G-d forbid be killed, leaving a woman alone or that he could be abusive forcing her to take her baby and run. That would be acting in the best interest of the child.
on a lighter note, i'm getting a brand new sewing machine that does embroidary at the beginning of october and i'm super excited! yayyyy! and a friend of mine just bought me subscriptions for 4 magazines i have been wanting. And i friend i met right here on SG is being so nice sending me a some avon products bc she is such a nice sweet girl and i wish her all the success in the world.
i'm probably going to go to brooklyn from the 17th to the 23rd to see my friends i miss from when i lived there.
actually i have to figure that out soon...
