Damn, where the hell did August go? 
We leave for Bend on Thursday, for a long weekend at a cabin, a Pixies concert, and good times with friends.
But, before that, I get to see the Paybacks again on Tuesday! Yay for the Paybacks! They are awesome, and no other woman can sound so much like a man as Wendy Case can.
The first time I saw them, they were headlining with crappy crappy local opening bands that sounded nothing like them. By the time they hit the stage, there were only a handful of people there. Wendy asked me and another girl to join her on the stage for "Vegas", but since I am quite shy and was stone cold sober at the time, I declined and rocked out on the floor in front of the stage instead. Yep, I passed on rocker glory in front of 8 people. And I don't regret it at all.
