Because now I'm bored out of my mind, I've decided to post my favorite movies of the 90's. Again, this isn't any sort of best films list, just the movies that I love. I also realized it's a really commercial list, but I don't really care.

10. The Usual Suspects- Yeah, it relies pretty heavily on the ending, but even so, it's an engaging complicated crime flick that I can watch again and again.

9. Terminator 2- This is my obligatory "guy" film. Even with Avatar, this is still James Cameron's masterpiece. It is one of the greatest examples of a commercial action film that is still filled with awesome.

8. Se7en- Another complicated crime film/thriller. It has some strong performances and the ending is such a kick in the gut.

7. Clerks- Still Kevin Smith's funniest film. "Would you like to making fuck? BERSERKER"

6. Hoop Dreams- A documentary about two kids trying to get into the NBA, it follows them for 5 years more or less, and is one of the best stories I have ever heard.

5. Goodfellas- It's Scorsese doing the mob thing, and kicking ass in the process. In time this may become one of my favorite movies of all time, but it requires many more viewings from me.

4. American Beauty- I love this movie, I love Kevin Spacey. I make all my friends watch this movie, they always thank me afterwards.

3. The Shawshank Redemption- Fuck, it's just a damn good movie. A flick that makes me forget im watching a movie.

2. Pulp Fiction- As Roger Ebert said, the most influential film of the 90's. It's fantastically original, and really was the introduction of Tarantino to the world. It was after this that a lot of people went back and rewatched Reservoir Dogs.

1. Eyes Wide Shut- I know it's a strange choice, but something about the film is so completely mesmerizing to me. It's just so clear as you watch it that you are in the hands of a master. I love how it's ambiguous, and how it examines relationships. Also, its a pretty serviceable thriller. And that trailer is one of the most interesting I have ever seen.
