I still haven't been able to get back to work. Everything is melting so I'll be back tomorrow. I actually had a great time with my roomates, so this whole experience has been positive. Last night we actually lost power for a while and went out walking.

Do you ever play stand-up bass?
wheelbyte:
I worked for a printing company that just closed ....there are a few of us that have stayed on a few weeks to wrap things up and get ready for the chapter 11 filing..... that is why the place is so empty...... use to be home to 175+ employees. Everyone was laid off the week before Christmas.

Working 12's does take it out of you......how did you end up getting stuck pulling 3 back to back or is that your normal schedule? Where do you work?

As John Lennon once said, "Whatever Gets You Through The Night".

I'm just astounded that I seem to be in the major minority of people who still openly exist in the lives of high school classmates.

Changing schools throughout must have sucked in a very big way.

The Dirtbombs do rule. I see them tonight!

As for whether they like me for me or wackiness.. I don't know really.. perhaps I only hope.

and i've had a fabulous day. i went to lecture given by Judy SHepard, the mother of Matthew Shepard, the guy who was killed in wyoming for being gay. i feel very educated and supported.
tuesday:
aw, dude, i'm sorry to hear about your uncle. i have been to baton rouge. it's horrible. but what do you expect from a place named for an std? it's true manifest is shutting down, they're open until the middle of next month i think. it's really sad. creative loafing did a front page story on it last week...you might be able to read it on the website. our new place is by the heart of charlotte cool, near the steeple and urban evolution.
littleredwriter:

The Alchemist is an book!

thanks for visiting my journal. I would like to return the compliment to you on your music taste. I'm too am a big fan of bop jazz, though those albums I own are sitting at my dad's house in Oregon while I'm away at grad school. What's happening these days in the D.C. music scene? I haven't heard much since Jawbox broke up.
