chazstrummer:

gofuserectus:

ninjatoes:
Congrats! Are you super excited?

Hm... new and exciting huh? Um... I painted my toenails today. Does that count?
noctua:
Congrats! Welcome to the working world. wink (Unless you go to grad school!)

Hm, something new and exciting? I, uh, got to bounce around DC, Maryland, Virginia and Toronto recently?
hood:
Congrats to you sweetie biggrin

New and exciting in my world, well I just put larger gauge rings in both my right ear lobe and PA, not the most earth shatteringly exciting things to do but hay, it is almost 1am over here smile
shaneapex:
Good job,
I recently quashed a drug fueled rebelion in a small south american country. EL SUICIDO LOCO
freakpirate:
Congratulations!

I'm working at the Taste of Edmonton Festival soon. I'm going to gorge myself on wonderful food. And get paid!

fallendragon:
congrats!!!
going to the system of a down concert on monday were you live

mdog42:
new *and* exciting, eh?

I heard a fantastic rumor that they are going to be putting in an Opal Devine's (it's a restraunt/bar) within walking distance of my house.

This excites me enough to bring tears to my eyes.

(congrats on be certified as an officially educated individual)
rellkin:
Congratz! biggrin
tororo:
The most exciting thing I did lately waw watching Cindy Sherman's exhibition at the Jeu de Paume. I've been a Cindy Sherman fan for ages, bought every book about herworks... and never happened to see her prints actual size: I'm still amazed.

Also; I congratulated a fresh alumnus (alumna?) for inventing a pas de danse love
drnecessitor:
Uh...I finally installed OS X on my computer. Aren't I a clever boy?

CONGRATULATIONS!!
theslant:
Your alumni walk looks suspiciously like a C-Walk.

I just walked in the graduation ceremony, but I've got some loose ends to tie up. That's my new.
boogalooshrimp:
Congratulations! My girlfriend graduated this summer too. Lots of achievement going on it seems. Well, not by me of course.

My big news is that my roommate is finally moving out, so now I'll have a whole two bedroom apartment all to myself! It'll cost me quite a bit more, but it'll be worth it to have my own space...and a theatre room.

Oh, and I desperately await the release of Disgaea 2.
nocturnalist:
I was going to make a joke about your "Alumni Walk Like An Egyptian" but you're probably too young to get that wink (And shouldn't it be "Alumnus Walk" anyway?")

New and exciting? Got a bunch of new books at the SF con I was at this weekend, including a short story collection from a friend that I'm already halfway through and a signed copy of one of the Horus Heresy novels biggrin

Oh, and I think I've got the ending to a horror piece I'm working on sussed out, after a lot of angsting and pondering and a some long conversations with others. Next new and exciting thing will hopefully be the news that I've sold it, although I'm not sure where to aim it yet.
atomicant:
excellent, big congrats to you.

i'm painting more than i have been recently, and i bought a new camera, and i played blackjack with jay-z, and i won a lot of money.

neener.

ARRR!!!
captainsteve:
Congrats woman! Things are still not that great here. No great news to report.
cirdt:
new and exciting: i've drank the better part of a bottle of wine in the last hour and a half. also, i sat in the rain today.

also, it seems odd to me that we lived in the same city and only really met once at New City. although, i think i did see you once in the humanities building.

good job on the convomacation.
glasses_ninja:
That really was fantastic. I mean truly.
It doesn't get better than that. smile
quasievil01:
Congratulations, now you are on your raod to world domination.

We had an ultrasound on Tuesday, it looks a little like a baby, but we are not ruling out extra-terrestrial influence as of yet. There were no wings although it's common knowledge that most mutant abilities don't manifest until around puberty, so we are not out of the woods yet.
andvari:
Congratulations.

I went to Toronto. New, but not really all that exciting.
turkmcallister:
congratulations!

a patient came in to the hospital because he got a chicken bone stuck up his penis.
char1es:
Come to my BBQ on Canada Day.

It's low-key, fewer people, and it would be cool to meet people who didn't come last year...
masquerade:
Good for you! I bailed on my U of A convocation. I went to the U of C one, but the second one lacked the...attraction...of the first.

News...hmm...went to a bridal shower thrown by my mother-in-law exclusively for her friends. My mom and sister were there but that's it. Older ladies I didn't really know (some of whom I'd never even met before) bought me material goods I didn't really need or want. Fun? whatever
