It's great you had the opportunity to travel. I feel it's an incredibly enriching experience and helps build empathy and understanding of other cultures in a way you can't by reading or watching TV/movies. I think if people around the world, and especially in the US, got to travel more there would be better international communication overall.
Having lived all my life landlocked in the great black hole of the Midwest, I am so completely jelly of you. Travel is deep in my bucket-list, and I hope to be free to do some of that in the not-too-distant future. I was going to say you're so lucky, but that's inaccurate; you built that opportunity for yourself. Way to go. I look forward to hearing more of your adventures.
Wow, I hope you really get to where you want to be! Sounds like fun, I honestly never thought about doing something like that, but it is kind of up my alley!! I like you love history, and working at a museum would be the ideal job!! As far as the getting married part, I would make you my queen in a heart beat!! So, I don't see issues with getting that ;)
