I think that would be an excellent idea for a set. Unfortunately sets like this seem to not be as well received as they used to be on here. Case in point Sash's latest set. She got a lot of bad feedback for it. Just to be clear I am not trying to discourage you at all! I would love to see this set! I just want you to be aware of the possibilities going in.
slaytanic454:
Typically, anything dealing with self-injury scars is not very well received around here. I would personally put my vote down as 'not for me'. The whole idea of it irritates me; just seems like attention whoring, and as such, I have no interest in seeing it in pictures. There is one girl in particular on this site that I thought must have been one of the hottest girls I had ever seen, until I saw the scars. Dealbreaker.

But that's just one person's opinion. Do what you want, worse that can happen is it doesn't get accepted.
nalchellda:
hmmm I'm honestly of mixed views, I can understand why you would want to do this and whatnot but at the same time and not sure how well it would be received, I know that I myself have trouble seeing those type of scars. I have several myself.
bettybruises:
i think it's a fantastic idea!!! it may or may not be well received but i think scars are fascinating. every scar tells a story, our scars both physical and mental make us who we are. maybe it makes some people uncomfortable, maybe it will make them squirm. let it. some of the world's best art was not received well when it was first put out for public viewing. sg is a place for unconventional beauty. and that part of your life is one that many many people go through (unfortunately. it's sad and disturbing, but it's a reality), i think that sharing that will not only help you come to terms with your past (if you haven't already), it may also feel very freeing and be a part of healing. some people who share that history may find comfort in it. i don't think it's "attention whoring", speak with your photographer, treat it delicately, use your past to make a statement. in doing so i think it could be a very powerful and moving set, something sg doesn't see too often anymore...
asdis:
Thanks for the input guys!!!

Betty I like your attitude biggrin I think I will do it, I won't be doing it for votes or whatever but I think it will be good. I have a friend who's a photographer, not the one who did my set, who would be great with this I think... I want it to be sensual and real, I'm not into hiding my scars, and I hope people would be able to see past them and see that I'm trying to make a positive point with this.

smile
asdis:
... I mean, this is called SUICIDE Girls... I can't see why this wouldn't fit lol
skullgrid:
sure it's a touchy subject for some, but this place is SUPPOSED to be about pushing boundaries when it comes to stuff like this, right? i've always preferred sets that had a personal touch to them anyway
jace:
Stuff like that used to be pretty prevalent on SG. To be honest, I'm not sure it would do well. SG has gone very "middle of the road" in the last year or so, and it might flouder in Member Review forever and ever. I don't agree with that, but it's what's been happening.

That being said, you're drop dead gorgeous and I'll sign up for new naked pictures of you anytime. wink
missleila:
yeaaahh! PUSH the fucking boundaries, girl!! i think it sounds like a great idea, even if its not everyone's taste, its self expression. tell ur story, put it out there. some will relate, some will frown. whatever u do, ROCK OUT WITH UR COCK OUT!! hahahahahahahahahabiggrin
matty4:
You could always try them under some sheer material, lace or the like...... that way they will be there, but not 100% on display. Once you've done those see how they look, and how you feel and move on... sometimes not seeing tells you as much as seeing smile

Personally I just wanna see another set love
macq:
I love scars...smileblush
asdis:
Hmm that's an idea, the sheer covering.. BUT my point is to expose myself. I mean my girl bits are on here, I want to have all of me here!
repo_man:
You can show your scars and show other parts as contrast. Contrast in photos is so important. Light/Dark, Clean/Dirty, Black/White, Scars/Smooth, etc.

It can be a story of where you were , where you are, and where you are going...
asdis:
^^ Exactly Repo! Yeah that's what I want... I was thinking of starting it in black and white, and gradually bringing up the saturation, something like that. Anywho, I'm excited. smile
lokison:
hello Asdis

i think scars like that scar me, but that is just me. we all have our onw scars we hide or show and work on. it makes me warder what are the scars u cant see.

i love the ieda of telling the story about then. and see another set of u would be really hot.

take care
lifter82:
i say go for it....this a place for free expression of ideas through the medium of photography, and if you'd like to tell the story of your scars, then right on!

what's the worst that can happen? they don't like your set....so what!?!?
people don't have to look at it they don't want to....
tovarisch:
I'm a big supporter of people doing what feels right to them creatively. If you want to make this set, and feel like it would be good for you, then go for it. I have no idea how people would vote it in Member Review, but I think it sounds like a great idea.
dexterruteki:
I like the idea, its part of you and your history. No reason to hide it. Plus, thats what this site is about, true beauty, not fake plastic beauty. Go for it.
violentpatriot:
I like it!
signspoint2fail:
I think that it would depend on how comfortable you are with criticism. There are assholes everywhere, especially on the internet.

I personally would be rather indifferent to it. When it comes down to it most people pay for their subscriptions to this site to wack off and perv on hot girls..so it might end u p being viewed as bad or distasteful. But if you really just want to show people so you can stop hiding your scars then more power to ya biggrin
asdis:
Yeah, I've had a lot of criticism, it's nothing new tongue
djnick:
I think it's vey cool to do a personal set like that nd in fact all that matters s that you are comfortable with it.
chowmowan:
hey asdis - newbie and fellow p-towner here. airbrushed artificial perfection is for maxim. showing yourself for who you are shows confidence, and that's way sexier. forget the audience and do what feels right for you eh.
aplete:
go for it, thats what art is about.. and it'll be a good way to put it behind you.
i think its a great idea, and it'll be a very special set..
