sounds like living in the 1884
damian_stark:
Orwell was a prophet. Just saying.
delmantus:
It certainly isn't looking good for us that's for sure :(

We need to fight back! I am a trade unionist, the natural predator of the Tory!
bayharbourbutcha:
Unfortunately the only surge in labour support came in places where the seats are guaranteed! They lost most of the marginal seats to the Tories!! The only chance we had of getting rid of them has passed for 5 years! Maybe people will bother to vote next time if bad things happen this term!!
asbo:
Bad things WILL happen. It is just a case of *how*bad.
aba:
I disagree the country is slowly on the right track, the national debt is getting better. Yes been bad cuts and more to come but gotta fix what labour did. Human rights do need changing and we need to get out off Europe. The tories won out right and walked the election so people what them... UK is doing alright.
asbo:
it depends what newspapers you read. I am sorry but you are wrong on every point.
asbo:
Food banks etc are a source of national shame and how exactly is it wrong to have basic human rights?
asbo:
The Tories didn't "walk" the election either. They got about 25% of the votes. And how did Labour cause the banking crisis? I thought it was international.
malada:
My advice for us poor sods in the UK: try not to be ill, don't be poor, move to Scotland. 'Another 5 years of pure evil' -Ken Livingstone.
malada:
Right (awful pun) with the divine @asbo on this. It does feel like living in 1984 (that shit Maggie T in charge) But back to now: and what the fuck did Labour do? Cause Lehman Bros to go tits up and preipitate a global financial crisis??? But they did bail out RBS, Northern Rock, et al, secured loans when Icebank went south, etc. Shored up/saved creaking free market capitalism. And what thanks does the Daily Mail give them??? But what do I know?
