I saw Blonde Redhead at the Hi-Fi Bar last night. It was okay. There was an awful lot of stuff being played off a backing tape, though. There were times when only the drummer appeared to be doing anything at all, but there was still a washed-out wall of synthesizers and guitars, in keeping with the sound of the new album.
During a quiet moment, a girl in the crowd shouted "How are you feeling?"
The singer replied "Do you really want me to tell you?"
"Yes!"
"I can barely feel my legs."
"They look fantastic!"
And they did. Nice outfit
I called out a request when they came back for the encore (the main reason I went to the show was to hear Messenger), and she said something like "That's too hard to play... or we've played something similar already."
That lovely scarf the drummer was wearing really accentuated his vagina.
