I remember when I was growing up thinking it was normal to have parents that weren't together. And I can't even tell you the last time I spoke to any of my siblings. It probably sounds worse than it is. I wouldn't say we're "fucked up." Just emotionally distant from each other.

I think you're lucky and I think you understand and know how to have relationships with permanence. I don't think that's a bad thing. I think that once you find someone that's not fucked up or a flake, you'll be kissing them in the kitchen 35 years from now. How old will that make you?
