So, I'm new here. Finally decided to join after getting the holiday deal with the magazine. I'm still working on navigating the site, but there certainly is a lot more to do on here than just look at pretty pictures. Give me a week, I'll be on top of things. This is the only pay-site I'm subscribed to other than Flickr.
So, I still have yet to finish most of my profile, but I can introduce myself here. My name is Karissa, tend to go by Arty on the internet (short for Artemille, herp derp). I'm 21 years old, originally from Anne Arundel County Maryland, and now I live in Ellicott City, near the historical part. I'm surrounded by Korean markets and microbrews, and loving it.
I work an easy job at a storage facility, walking around in circles mostly and dealing with the occasional customer. At home, I'm a bum. I have a big group of (mostly male) friends that come over regularly for role playing and advanced board games. I'm their acting housewife...and real wife to one.
I collect a lot of stuff, I think it's OCD. I've been doing it since I could pick up bottle caps and rocks off the road. I concentrate it on girly things nowadays, like perfumes and Juicy Couture charms. I also have a growing affinity toward urban vinyl. Kidrobot is my favorite so far, especially work from Joe Ledbetter. I also collect copious amounts of booze, sometimes expensive hard to find stuff. I'm a foodie first, and a lush second. I like gin the best. The wide range of botanicals around the world give it more variety than most other spirits. My friends laugh and say I just like pine trees.
I'm into weird foods, learning to cook (I can bake awesomely!), interior design, and science. I love biology, mostly of marine life. I've tried multiple attempts at keeping a variety of fish, but not too much luck there. I can research a species forever, but in practice they can be more high maintenance than a dog. I did successfully keep a turtle for seven years, before giving him away after a move. I want to eventually get a ball python. They have the cutest faces, or at least in snake terms.
Other than that, I'm a bit boring. I like to learn lots of weird new facts, then rant. I think I'm doing that already. Harumph.

As an aside, with pointless information, I was born in Hagerstown.
