I wish you the best of luck on financing your study abroad. As for the paid internship that actually provides insurance... that might be hard to come by. Most employers have bubkis for benefits for interns, and even for full time regular employees, most employers have a lag time before benefits kick in. If you're traveling, though, you might be able to get travel insurance that includes supplemental health coverage... perhaps worth looking into. I wholeheartedly endorse studying abroad, though. Some of the best experiences of my life came from study abroad.

i'm glad you got that loan!!!

yes, my friend is ok, thanks for asking, and i'll be staying in my apartment, b/c no sexual aggressor will intimidate me into leaving my home space. i am being super precautious, though.

I'm not Hindu, so I don't care what Kali stands for.
nurse_sugar:
Thanks so much!!! Awesome.

You know what just occured to me, we have the same birthday! HOLLA!!!!
i_of_the_storm:
Sorry, I didn't mean to sound like an ass. I realized afterwards that I probably did.

I know that my particular idea of aggressor/nurturer deities doesn't exactly conform with some belief systems, but then again I don't believe in anything. It's just my response to "conventional ideals" of the Western world.

Actually I'm Buddhist, and I mean no disrespect to any other religions.
_biblia_:
a paid internship with insurance?!? does such a lovely thing exist?

and in reply to your question, yes-- there will be pictures galore. ooo aaa

Where are you studying abroad? You made the right choice, even if it meant taking out a loan. You'll never get that sort of opportunity outside college.
roaring_tulips:
My cousin, Jennifer, is getting her MBA in Madison, WI.
charley:
I'm not, haha but thank you very much! kiss
salome:
Lucky you, being able to study in THREE countries instead of just one! How'd you swing that?
vuokko:
SF is amazing! You'd love it. Great food, fun shops, perfect weather, cool people.

I almost went to school in Madison and may go to grad school in Montreal. We must have similar taste in cities.

I'm glad everything worked out for you. It sounds terribly stressful. Have a great time studying abroad!

(I studied a broad in college. She gave me an A+. (Boo! Bad joke. Sorry.))
