perhaps the essay was getting at the fact that there is nothing that is clearly separate from anything else...on a molecular level, there is a constant flow of energy from one particle to another... can we bring up string theory here?

i guess i secretely want the string theory to bridge the gap between philosophy and physics. where a thought creates a chemical that is followed by a feeling that is reverberated out as an energy and is reflected in everything surrounding. since nothing is truley separate from anything else... the atoms and molecules may have space around them but their energies take up much more space so that there is no true empty space. in this way i like to think philisophically about human interactions. i often see this chain of thought when reflecting on philiosphical writing because i want so much for someone else to see it too. and so, my search for the absolute mind/body connection where philosophy, psychology and physics all come together hand in hand is where i have found the desire for knowledge... and it continues to push me toward research so i may see if actualized.
Confused? Let beer wipe that slate clean. After a pack or two you'll stop thinking about all those vast... thingies. You'll be ready to wake up and get back to work every morning. Again, and again and again.
