i live for swimming holes. i've been to as many as possible. they didn't list much of anything on there though. in california there are like 20 i've been to, and they only listed like 4 of them on there.
annah:
weird, the old boxite mines we go swimming in around here aren't listed either, and there's maybe 5 you can swim in within a 10-mile radius. does that negate all the swimming i've done there?
nice to meet you!

I agree with you regarding McCain. I was going to vote for him in 2000 also. I'm not so sure the republican party is going to swing back to the center anytime soon though. McCain is absolutely reviled in religous right circles and they seem to be holding the reins lately. McCain will run but I expect him to lose the primary to some candidate who will pander to the freakazoids.

The republican party has been hijacked by the religous right and I don't see it coming undone anytime soon. One can hope though. I predict 2008 will be a big indicator of the future of the reppublican party. Will it continue on it's extremist path or tack back to the center? Same can be said of the Democrats, although I see them as close to the center anyway, they're just a mess organizationally.

Where's a decent third party alternative (moderate, centrist) now that the time is ripe?

anyway....politics, I could talk your ear off.

california is weird...but san francisco is beautiful....how are you doing?
