I was a witness for a friend downtown once. he was a huge blues bros fan... so... that had something to do with it. but we were sitting there, waiting for his (now ex) wife to show up... she was running late... and he was like, "dude... if she doesn't show up soon, we're going to the nearest bar and getting wasted." and so, i nodded and stared at my shoes. a few minutes later he was like, "i'm kinda hoping she doesn't show up."
