I really wish I had as much power as I pretend to. I also wish that I knew more men who look, sing, think, and move like Jon Spencer. Life without a crush is tough. Luckily, I get to see Lucero and Ben again next Friday so I can be hot for him for a while.

What I like, though, is that I've been writing up a storm lately, and been happy with what I've written. It's been hard for me to write good fiction or creative nonfiction for the past couple of years, so these days when ideas roll into my brain and great lines fall out of my mouth and I have to scramble for a pen or tape recorder are precious, indeed. It probably comes from fucking boredom, but whatever.
