So I had my second interview with Chapters on Monday. It went fairly well - we chitchatted and he told me more about the store. Then he said, "I'll call you in twelve hours to let you know about the job." I left with a smile and then went home to patiently wait by my phone. So I waited... and waited... and waited some more.
Finally on WEDNESDAY, I decided to call them (from the kiosk) because I was too chicken-shit to go see them in person. I didn't expect to get the job, I was just calling to find out what the damn hold-up was. I want rejection, I want it as soon as possible so I don't stay stressed over it. So, I called and he said that he was sorry for late and told me that I had the job. So my training starts tomorrow at 2. So I work from 10 - 2 and then go to Chapters for training from 2 - 6. My friday night is looking like a hell of a lot of sleep.
The sketchy kiosk job is still just as sketchy, but I'm working with some pretty cool (though competitive
) people. Thankfully they're willing to still give me full-time and still coincide with the Chapters schedule. I'm still not really sure how this will work out. And my old boss from Greco called to say they were "in a jam" and wanted to know if I could help out. I figure why the hell not. I can use the extra cash.
