In general. Not to demean the serious pursuit of your seeming profession; you ask excellent questions and seem to be well-informed about every interviewee (at least the ones I've read), but how would you go about getting a job?
Do you find a celebrity or otherwise interesting person who will talk to you without being affiliated to any serious publication, interview them, and then use that interview as a portfolio of sorts?
Or do you just start small - with school or indie publications and try to work your way up to something with a bigger readership (assuming working your way up is what you want to do, of course)?
you were joking in that thread about the man with the anti-bush shirt, right? just making sure. I'm never quite sure, so sometimes I just ask before I make a comment that I would later regret.
haha that is hilarious... we pvr it too, and we must be watching the same series [on tbs.] i never really watched it before aside from a few episodes here and there, but it was kind of imposed on me and we just got to the part where he died as well, and i was extra upset cause i never saw it in the first place! and i kept hearing 'enjoy him while it lasts!' now it's just not the same!
funny thing: as much as I enjoy assplay, all the boys I've ever dated were bicurious and assphobic. go figure. maybe they are afraid of enjoying it too much. probably just part of the reason I tore them to pieces in bed.
le sigh.
anywoo.... just came by to drool on you after reading the Danielewski interview. I can't read anymore (stroke two years ago), but I read House of Leaves some four times and have given as many copies away to friends who I believe need the experience themselves. also read whalestone letters, fifty year sword, and I am so excited to read that only revolutions is going to have an audio version!
but I just wanted to express my sincerest and deepest jealousy over meeting johnny truant.
