I just relocated to the triangle from michigan and i lived in wisconsin before that. the one thing i can tell you so far is that the weather is much better. i like durham and we live right off the freeway so we are centrally located. my husband works in chapel hill. right now we live in an apt community and it is pretty good cause it is convenient and there is a gym and everything. they also have flexible leases. i like durham a lot and there are a lot of different areas to find apartments. i did not like raleigh as much apartment wise and chapel hill can be a little pricey. the one thing you will find is a huge variety of good restaurants, cool shopping and just a great vibe in the triangle. good luck with your search
