When you meet someone .... have a little bit of time to decide if they're a psycho ... then stop spending time with them, and you'll not fall in love In the meantime, you're gorgeous and deserve better than a psycho. But then, I guess no one deserves a psycho!
One of my best friends had a problem with finding abusive, marginally crazy guys into her early 30s. But, as she put it, there are lots of handsome, stable, successful guys out there. She's just not attracted to any of them. However, she eventually hooked up with a cute comics message board acquaintance 13 years younger than her at one of the Comicons. They've been together about 7 years, married for 3, and have an 18 month old son. He's definitely one of the safest guys she's been with, but he's creative, talented with music, and has lots of elements that work for her. They can be found.
I know how you feel. We just want to find someone who is good to us and loves us for who we are. Not try to change us to what they want or run us for their own agenda. It's hard because what's exciting at first often turns to crazy.
