I've read this entry several times without commenting. This situation makes me so sad that I don't know what to say. I just want to rip all that tubing and tape off that little guy and have him be okay. Best wishes to you and your brother and his family.

Also... good to know your sons and nephews, at least, can keep their heads up during this trying time, pun intended. Are they all boys? That must be a riot!

I think kids recognize instability in their lives by ignoring rules. Perhaps that is what is going on with the nephews. What you said about the baby is sad, but probably true. It sounds like a tragic situation all around. It's good that you're there for them.
