I think art history is sort of like that. I read what you said yesterday and my impression (from my own limited experience, as well as what I've heard from people that have taken more on it) is that the classes are interesting but its just this CONSTANT stream of information, which you're supposed to absorb all at once. Don't worry though, grades have a way to work themselves out. You really have to measure yourself by what the rest of the class is doing, not by what you've always conceived as a good grade.
