I give all the requests a chance, it only takes a single key stroke to be rid of them. No regrets thus far. Ive never been big on movies in the theater, im patient and can usually wait to rent, but im always on the look out for new music.... one way is to read through your friends list profiles. They might have one or more bands you like and that way you can take a chance on something else thats listed by checking out websites so you dont have to buy first and end up disappointed.
remember monkeybutt! he (i) comes around at least once a week to say hi. if you're feeling down he says happy things. if you're feeling up he's happy for you...
i hope you find your energy. cute butt, by the way. have i told you that?
I ended up slogging through Life of Pi, It has an interesting twist at the end, but its probably something you can see coming, if you stop and think about it. I think the book could have been condensed by at least 100, if not 200 pages and still accomplished the same thing. If you are really bored with it, I'll tell you how it ends.
I'll have to agree with you about the random friendship request. I just kept wondering why in the world they wanted to request my friendship. Then I figured maybe it was just to feel popular who knows.
awh i can see the sentiment
as long as they talk to me at least i dont care whom tehy are hehe
im friendly *shrugs* hey who am i to choose i take what i can get
lol
amazing how the earlier part of this journal can remind me of myself in so many ways *shrugs*
ya I had a couple of friend requests of people I have never even talked to before its strange..I mean I wouldn't be some strangers friend in real life and I don't want my friend list to be some long thing that I don't know who any of them are...
OK- here goes. This is the ending of Life of Pi. After all the trials and tribulations he finally lands in Mexico. Richard Parker goes free and disappears into the jungle. He is resuced by local villagers and taken to the local clinic/hospital. A few days/weeks later, representatives from the shipping company arrive to interview him and try and determine why the ship sank. He tells them his story. They have a difficult time believing it. He questions them why and points out multilple examples of other things that are true but difficult to believe. So he asks them if they want to hear another story. He tells them a story of four people on the life boat. Himself, his mother, a brutish French cook and a Chinese sailor with a broken leg. Things go bad for everyone. The sailor's leg has to be amputated and he subsequently dies. He uses his flesh for fish bait (among other things). The cook ends up killing his mother in a fight. Rather gruesome. Pi eventually kills the cook. At the end of the story he asks the shipping company reps, which version the prefer, which they believe, which they would rather put in their report. They write up their report and note how remarkable it was that he survived so long at sea. Particularly with an adult Bengal tiger. So in the end, the book is basically about belief. Life is what you believe it to be.
