@venenumliscens my grandpa made an extensive family tree on Ancestry. He has it all printed out and up on a wall in his house. I just wonder if I could find any of my parental side since I never met my bio father and I have an older half sister that was given up for adoption. Does that pop up with the DNA testing?

Not unless your dad has also taken the test as well... but anyone who has taken it should be shown to you... within limitations. Obviously they want you to pay for the premium service to contact other members. For me it’s a lot of 3rd and 4th cousins. But if you show a connection with anyone, using other peoples trees, they will suggest some one maybe be related to you. My maternal grandfather was adopted... so that kind of cold cases for me there and it starts following his adopted parents. My dad’s and his parents all came over on a boat. But again my grandfather was a refuge from WWII Poland so his lineage kind of cold cases. Both my grandmother’s line go back generations though. I’d suggest starting an account beforehand... dabble. If you’re looking for lineage... use Ancestry... want genetic information... try 23 and me or whatever it’s called
