My room stinks of girl. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining but for the next couple of days it's going to be pure torture until the smell slowly fades from my room.

This week Marsina came into town. Unfortunately it was because her mom passed away. I would've liked to have seen her under slightly happier circumstances but at this point I'm just happy to see her. I can't even fathom losing a parent, even one that you my not have been that close to. You wouldn't believe this girl. Almost the whole time she was here she was concerned with her sister and making sure that she would be all right. I did my best to listen when she needed to talk and help her forget about everything when she needed that too.

Like most people, I found it hard to know exactly say to make things better but thankfully life has taught me that sometimes the best way to help is just to shut up and listen.

Despite the funeral and the loss of someone very important in life she still managed to have good time. Her reasoning was that her mom wouldn't have wanted her to sit and dwell, she would have wanted her to go out and celebrate her moms life.

We put her on a plane this morning and already I miss her more than before.
