Do it girl! It took my 5 years and I don't have the papers back yet but it's almost a few weeks away and I will be free again. Honestly I didn't think it would affect me since it's been so long but it kinda did. It came out of the blue and surprised me. I was sad. This has passed and now I'm just waiting for the paperwork to be signed by the judge. Then it's final. It is the right thing to do though. Good luck hun : )
