As Thanksgiving approaches, we're prompted to look around and recognize the many things we take for granted daily. Something about the cold holiday season brings out a warmth in us, which is why I adore the Fall/Winter months so much! @missy @rambo & @lyxzen want to know what is near & dear to us this year, so here goes!
First things first, I'm extremely grateful for my boyfriend of almost 3 years, Michael. This year has been a roller coaster of epic proportions, and at times we've fought more than we've loved, but the most important thing is that we've never given up on each other. January 23rd will mark our third year together. Last year, after an awful move, we were too broke to even buy a Christmas tree let alone presents, so the rest of 2015 is a very special period for us now that we're in a much better spot financially. Tonight we'll be going out to celebrate Thanksgiving since he's working that day, & I can't think of a better man to have next to me as we enjoy the fruits of our labor ❤
That brings me to the SG community. I absolutely love this place and the positivity that just oozes from everyone involved. I've been a member here since January & a hopeful since August, and I've received nothing but kind words & encouragement since then! I never thought I'd find a place that I truly felt I fit in. I've struggled with my weight all my life (at one point weighing 255 lbs), and it just melts my heart that I've been so accepted here. I truly enjoy interacting with everyone who crosses my path, and meeting like minded ladies with so much to offer the site and the world! At the top of my list are @midnightsun @sinopa @zephyrine 💕💖💕 Y'all are each so amazing & beautiful in your own way, & I'm so glad to know you! I never really got along with other girls when I was in school, so my SG girl gang means everything to me. Can't wait to meet you guys & make some memories! And to everyone here who has ever shown me the slightest bit of kindness & support, THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. It keeps me going. It helped me finally click 'apply' after years of daydreaming. Especially @franie @classyman2u @banguinius @debased_pixie & @greenmoonrising you guys are the best!!! 😘
We all have our ups & downs in this life, but its the little things that count. I'm happy, healthy, I have a man who loves me for me and 4 kitties who call me mom. I like to smile at others in passing and compliment them to brighten their day. That's everything to me. We need more beacons of light than pillars of darkness in this world.
