Well, after five years at working at a local McDonalds, I resigned on Monday. Well, I say "resigned" as if it was my choice. It wasn't, really. Our new manager had apparently decided that it would be better for the restaurant if I left. I didn't agree, but I really didn't have any choice.
Needless to say, this doesn't make the next few months great. While I wait for my Employment Insurance to kick in, I'm back on the job hunt, which I know I'm not going to succeed at (the only reason I got that job @ McDonalds was because I knew the manager at the time; thank you so very much, crappy economic climate), with no money coming in by the end of November (I'm getting the small amount of money for the time I worked on Monday and the rest of my unspent holiday pay then), and means I'm going to have to cut back on my extracurricular spending. (I seriously hope that I can get a new job by the start of the New Year; I'd really hate to think I'm going to miss either Vancouver Taboo or Fan Expo Vancouver because I can't afford to go.)
PS: Not going to do a blog post regarding my comic haul this week. I've got too much on my mind right now to do a proper one. Maybe next week?
