Twwly and Accessed have got both major points covered. First, get out of there. No job is worth that kind of abuse and a lunatic like that is not likely to forgive or forget. Incidentally, that kind of work environment entitles you to substantial unemployment benefits. Second, you really do need to file an after-the-fact report with the police. It's not so important that they do anything about it now, but it is important that the incident is on record in the event that anything happens in the future, like he comes in threatening you again. Letting the cops know could serve to help both you and your boss.
