The inability to fall sleep is the bane of my existence. Very rarely am I able to fall asleep within a half of an hour, which I would unscientifically consider reasonably normal. The more I fight it, the worse it is. Not unlike quicksand.
I must make my meditation practice a regular one again. It is the only thing that has ever seemed to have a positive effect on my sleeping habits. I am not a huge fan of my psuedo-nocturnal ways. It seems as though I do not get inspired or motivated until late nights. It is then that I have the greatest desire to go out into the city and be productive, etc... It seems as though it is this self-sabotaging habit that allows my intrinsic motivation and desires to hit their peak at the time when they will not easily realized.
Oh yeah, I suck at waking up too.
So here I am, hoping that writing a bit will help me sleep. Or, at least, the eye strain of a dark room and a bright computer will do the trick.
