Tanka Suka (means Big Dog in Sioux) is an English Mastiff I have had since He was 6 weeks old, but been around since His litter was born. A friend of mine rescued a pregnant 6 year old from a farm before She was put down for being unexpectedly knocked up by Her pup's - pup. Big Mama barely survived the 48 hrs of labor, the first six pups were born alive, the last four did not make it. Tanka came first and a girl, Meshak, who was born second were the only two survive the first two weeks. It has been 8 years now, and I still get greeted at the door better than the day before.
