Wild mushrooms would be so fun to learn about! So tasty! And you could use them in your Thai cooking, yum!

So I'm thinking if you canoed to Alaska, and then snowboarded around once you got there, you could probably get # 1, 2, 3 and 4 all in one go. :-)

Speaking French is fun, because you can say just about anything, including a grocery list or the gettysberg address, and it turns people on.

* I saw the Northern Lights a few years ago while driving on the freeway south of Seattle. Swear to god. I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

* While I do like long hair, I can't condone covering up your tits.

An excellent list. I would just change Thai food to Vietnamese food. And I hate mushrooms. But that's it.

I think I will celebrate evacuation day by evacuating my house and going out to dinner tonight. I feel like I'm a shut-in. If I have to spread my disease and pestilence among the general population, so be it.

that all looks good. I could help you on the wild mushroom stuff. I've collected & sold several tons of the beauties. I do all right with cooking them too.
A little butter & gralic, a little wine, some fresh pasta, that kind of thing.

If you were in CA I'd hook you up with my uncle who taught fungal kinds of things at some branch of CalTech for awhile, but no such luck there .

The rest of that sounds like fun - I'm especially interested in the Polar Bear thing, that just sounds like fun .

I'm planning a trip to the Arctic, then to a ski resort in the Rockies.. maybe a bit of canoeing somewhere...then to Portland - need to finishing teaching my classes in constitutional law and tell the Wild Mushroom Society where I've found some dandies...before I head over to Thailand to open my cooking school., which I'll be funding with money from the French tutorials I'll be givng members of the Astronomy Club.. Interested?

I think one of my problems is I rarely get out of the neighborhood I live in other than to go to work. Which is only 5 minutes away.
