I haven't had a dog in so long ... but the cats seem to have achieved that freedom that comes from knowing they own everything anyway so it doesn't really matter.
I didn't think that anyone would have heard of most of the groups I listed in my current listening paragraph! A lot of them are UK groups, and I'm not sure how much US coverage they get - ? I keep on playing Muse. They are quite melancholy, but they fit my moods right now..........
Muse is quite dark. A lot of minor chords. I especially love the piano/keyboards? They have a full sound that really - well - " fills" me....... The CD I'm listening to is their most current - it's called Absolution. Just coming down off the whole Christian/born again experience it seems naturally, well, appropriate............
agreed. My dog cant stand anyone playing with his licence and collar. he'll freak out if you take it off and jump all over you to get it back and when you put it back on, he'll put his licence in his mouth and walk into another room and lick it for like a half hour.
I can't get anyone to agree what kind of tree that is. And I hear all the hand-wringing about the drought, but from a selfish perspective, I can't think of any way it really affects me. I like the sun!
Dogs are materialistic, but it's funny what they want. My grandparents had a great dane who claimed one of the throw pillows off the couch. Took it everywhere. You didn't even think about trying to take it from him.
I haven't had a dog in a loong time either - too much responsibility and maintenance. I may get one when my cats "depart the scene" (hmm... why can't I just say when the cats are dead?), just because I think every little boy should have a dog, even if I'm the one taking care of it ultimately.
But right now I've got two 6 year old cats - or 7? they're about 6 months older than my son, who's 6 and a bit.
it's kinda funny - my cats think I'M in charge, I guess because I control the food. They come when I call them (and they know it's not food time), the one cat always runs to me to protect her from the other cat, and while they don't often sit in my lap, they're almost always near where I am, unless they're napping. If they do sit with me they're BOTH there, which is interesting too.
I miss my dog. Alot. The best one there ever was..that I knew.
Work..went okay. I went in two and a half hours late, but had their permission. But the day dragged, and I froze terribly. My fingers and I still feel numb, somewhat.
College will rule, minus the papers and work and such. Though I don't think I could anticipate it any more if those things didn't even exist than I already am.. The getting lost, well.. I'll have 4 years to find my way to the other end..
Absolutely. I love my dogs, but whenever I give them any sort of treat or toy, it turns into raw canine greed. It doesn't matter if I give each one an identical rwahide bone, they will immediatlely start sixing the other up, waiting for an opportunity to steal the other's bone.
But hey, dogs may be materialistic, but cats shoot people.
Yes, Josh is a lot of fun ... he saw your picture and said he'd be happy to be your friend and treat you like that, too. Silly men! But in all seriousness, Josh must be the most generous man I have ever met. He dropped 3 bills on me and we're not even dating! You should see the shopping sprees he takes his dates on.
Well, I'm pre-coffee but you haven't changed your question so thankfully I didn't have to think. Yay!
i must say that i truly look forward to reading your journal entries even though i have no dog have never had a dog and dont particularly want a dog you still find some way to make me feel at least a little bit happier when im done reading......interesting......
