john entwisle, the phenomenal bass player for one of my favorite bands, the who, died today.
he was 57.
his body was found at the hard rock hotel and casino. that's 15 minutes from me. in fact, i rode right by there last night on my way to the double down saloon. for all i know, it happened as i drove by.
this is very weird to me. no one ever died in north carolina. no one particularly notable and certainly not one of my favorite musicians ever.

I'm going to be pretty bummed out when more original SNL people, Mel Brooks, George Carlin, and so many other people I idolized growing up start getting putting one foot in the grave.
57 does seem a bit early though and the didn't say what the cause of death was yet.
