looks like i'm FINALLY heading out to LA tomorrow night for a few days to see my fiendish little girl. it's about fucking time. every time i talk to her, i'm reminded of how much i miss having her around all the time.

perhaps this is all for the best though. if we can make it through a few months of being apart, then i guess i'm in for another of those goddamn long haul relationships, right?

bleh. sick of my mind being occupied with this. i'm trying to rebuild my personal website that's been defunct since i found this place and i keep getting distracted by my new powerbook and trying to get YDL set up. linux is great fun in that you feel this terrific rush of excitement when you do something you haven't before and it works the first time versus the obscene frustration when all you want to do is connect to a dialup server and you can't initialize your modem. but i learn more and more every time i play with it ... so yeah.

i also learned that i get pissed when comps distribute linux apps and don't provide the source code. goddammit, i'm on a PPC not x86, i need to compile my *OWN* binaries.

bastards.

oh well, off to LA.
