@ABASHIMAÂ I have never had the opportunity to get acquainted with an electric car. And how often do you have to recharge? In comparison with gasoline, does it come out more expensive or cheaper?
@alexislust Way cheaper! We installed a charger in our garage. We’ve seen an increase in our electric bill, but my wife years ago took advantage of a scheme with the electric company where the bill is averaged out over the year instead of a lot during the summer and a little during the spring and fall. So an increase but *easily* absorbed. I asked her once how much more and she couldn’t recall, it was such a slight bump.
@alexislust As to how often I recharge, I’m not quite sure. Since it’s right there in the garage and happens overnight, it’s kind of out of sight, out of mind. But I’ll say I do it once every two weeks? Something on the order of that.
@ABASHIMA That sounds really cool! How I don't like the smell of gasoline on the street, especially if there is a traffic jam. I hope that electric cars will replace cars with gasoline. Although I understand the usefulness of a gasoline engine in remote areas, it would be great to have electric cars driving around the city. Sounds like science fiction.
