I always wanted to be a part of the military, but my mom wouldnt let me join. She was afraid something bad would happen to me.
iggy:
i thought about the military...then i remembered that i hate authority and waking up early......but i do like guns...hehehe... wink

and i have cable, and i dunno why my mac won't connect, sometimes its cheeky like that, i guess i will have to try to fix it later.
granny:
Yeah... I've always wanted to be in the Navy because my dad used to tell me he'd never be proud of me until I gaduated from Anapolis with high honors and went on to fight for our country... ahem ... anyway...

Yeah, the same thing hit me the first time I heard of this club. I believe it's named after him. It's a club with different rooms each featuring a different style of music... there are actually only two... but one is more industrial stuff and the other is more goth-pop. Dressing for it is always a blast because you get all done up crazy as hell! I can't wait blush

kay:
Indeed. Our base is open year around, and we are currently in our winter season. NSF does maintain a civilain presence here all year long. We are one of many private contractors down here. There is no longer military presence on the base during the winter. The only thing they do for us is Air Support and Ice clearing for our re-supply vessel. The New Zealanders are just up the road by about 2 miles, and they also maintain a presence year round. The all the other countries are too far away to maintain anything more than email contact with. South Pole base actually is year long as well.

kay:
The Kiwis come over rather frequently, and we go over there frequently as well. This particular group compared to last years is much more fun. I usually end up over there every Friday for darts against them, South Pole Station, and sometimes the Aussies join in as well. I am to attend dinner there tomorrow night with the firehouse and their girlfriends. I am looking forward to it actually. Because there are only 10 Kiwi's, their food is much better. wink

~cheers
peggy:
Why thank you. I like you too. smile
peggy:
Yeah, that's where I got it. The following line was from Eddie Izzard but I just like to add that to anything 'fact-like' that I say. LOL.

All the friends on my list and comment and you are the only one who has actually looked it up so far. I'm impressed.

when i was in BMT for the air force, my flight's male TI Assistant always said that quote to us. he wanted to make us "fierce female warriors for the greatest military and country in the world." what a dork...
