i still think of you as an awkward teenager.
like em lots, but i'm not sure if i'll make it to the show tonight. i'll let you know, though. i like to keep my options open.
have a magnificent evening .. and be safe.
i'm glad you were part of my '02.
/end instant gratification.
loved them something awful back in 1990. it has faded over time, but i recently rocked out on a road trip to an entire album. i quite like that "mountain song"
your pictures make me feel like an awkward teenager.
I want one of Perry's suits. They are so fly.
I saw Jane's in 89, I had no idea who they were, I just happened to be at the club that night. I was blown away. Too many favorites...so I'm just going to have to name an album...and that would be" Nothing's shocking." Ritual didn't move me as much. I always felt that they were getting bloated on success with that album and it lacked the sharpness and the hunger of the previous projects. It was sad when they broke up, but you know, you move on. I think I slipped right into the Pumkin's Gish right after I quit mourning. I have to work tonight. Happy new year, and if you are going...enjoy, and sing with them for me.
he's a fox. i was watching this interview with him...he was in a park downtown & saw a black squirrel & he got kinda giddy & said something about how great it is that we have black squirrels in toronto. i don't know. i thought it was charming.
when they first hit they blew everyone else away, period.
i liked ocean song
i'm don't think that "reunion" thing w/ flea instead of eric was necessary and perry sounded pretty weak. i saw eric playing for peter murphy a couplea years back?!
apart from that tour, i still think perry is like the epitome of pretty fucking cool.
I'm practically suicidal (and not in the good, SG sort of way) that I'm going to be missing that show tonight. You have no idea. You see, I truly AM the world's most hardcore Jane's/Perry disciple.
I'm that girl that every single one of my friends thinks of when they hear any Jane's Addiction song.
I'm the one who always said "I Would For You" was the best song they ever wrote and I still believe it (just behind Three Days).
I'm the one who tried heroin because of what Perry created as a result of using.
I'm the one who met Casey twice and nearly passed out both times.
I'm the only one who had a copy of "Gift" in my hands 6 months before it streeted, then saw it at the Laemmle and watched while Casey squirmed in her seat during the overdose scene, and got to ask her about the movie and whether she missed Perry or not during the Q&A.
I was the one who was friends for a long time with Casey's best friend Lanette, and Lanette didn't like anyone, but she liked me.
I'm the one who had a ticket to the show last Halloween because I drove all the way into the worst part of east L.A to pick it up after winning it on eBay, and then couldn't go because I was on my death bed with pneumonia.
Never ONCE have I had the honor of meeting Perry, and never ONCE have I been able to see Jane's Addiction live.
I was blown away by Janes Addiction when I was a teenager...
Nothing's Shocking will probably be in the top 10 for the rest of my life.
I have The Gift too....Ritual was great, as well.
I've stolen quite a bit from Stephen Perkins over the years
I'm not sure how I feel about Flea replacing Eric Avery, though.
