"I was talking with family this weekend about music. I have wondered what kind of person doesn't like music.
Seriously music is love. Music is life."
Ha, my girlfriend's parents are like that. They don't have any favorite bands, or singers, of any kind. When we have dinner with them at their house, they put on these random CD compilations that they can't remember how they got.
It confuses me every time. We don't have to like the same thing, but don't you like something?
My heart is good. I just had an amazing week and got to spend lots of time and lots of sleepovers with the lady. Now I will have to readjust to sleeping alone most nights this week.
I am so thankful for what I have though. I've never been this happy.
Oh man, the song I wanted to link to doesn't have a YouTube video, so I'll just link to this:
I didn't like music very much until 1998, when I started downloading it. Before that I had only ever heard it on TV and the radio and wasn't incredibly impressed aside from a few songs. Now it's a pretty major part of my life, and something I've spent a lot of time and money on.
I went through this weird period in college where I didn't listen to a lot of music. That was a dumb period. I play it all day at work, in the evenings at home, and it's much more pleasant.
My parents were not much into music. I mean, they listen and have ipods and stuff. But never really into having a "record collection" per se. I got into music in high school, and I'm slightly obsessive about things - so once I had one CD, I needed another, or more by that band etc. It's worked out well.
So I'm intrigued about you being interested in me being excited (awkward sentence much?) - so... expand?
it wouldn't be a cliche for me to say that music, for better or worse, has been my life. i've got the permanently ringing ears and way to much vinyl to prove it!
